SyncSafe is a lightweight Android app for backing up selected folders to Google Drive without handing over broad access to your phone or your Drive.
Instead of asking for full storage permission, SyncSafe uses Android's folder picker so you decide exactly which folders the app can read. Instead of asking for full Google Drive access, it works inside its own SyncSafe area and with files it creates or is allowed to open. Your files move directly between your device and Google Drive; SyncSafe does not store, copy, or transfer them through its own servers.
The app supports manual Sync Now, scheduled sync, Drive space status, clear sync logs, retry actions, optional cloud verification, and helpful warnings for Android notification, battery, and background data settings. It is intentionally one-way: selected folders on your device are backed up to Google Drive, and local deletes can be mirrored to Drive so your backup stays aligned.
SyncSafe is ad-free and built around a gentler Android background sync model. That means it respects modern Android limits instead of trying to run as an always-on service. For users who want more flexibility, Supporter unlocks multiple synced folders, faster auto-sync schedules, and detailed per-file sync logs with a one-time purchase.

Privacy is one of SyncSafe's core goals.
SyncSafe uses Android's folder picker, so you decide exactly which folders the app can read. It does not request full storage access to your device.
SyncSafe also uses limited Google Drive access. It works with its own SyncSafe folder in your Google Drive and can access only the files and folders it creates or is permitted to open. It does not ask for full access to your Google Drive.
SyncSafe is also ad-free. This means the app is not built around advertising, ad personalization, or ad-based tracking. We do not show ads, and we do not collect your data for advertising purposes.
SyncSafe does not use its own servers to store, copy, or transfer your files. Your data moves directly between your device and Google Drive; nothing is stored on our servers.
