Terms of Service for SyncSafe

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SyncSafe, an Android application provided by Leorbit (“SyncSafe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using SyncSafe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What SyncSafe Does

SyncSafe helps you back up selected folders from your Android device to your Google Drive. The app uses Android’s folder picker and Google Drive authorization so you can choose what folders SyncSafe may access and sync.

SyncSafe does not provide its own cloud storage. Your files are stored in your Google Drive account, subject to Google’s own terms, limits, availability, and policies.

2. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

- choosing which folders to sync;

- ensuring your Google account and Google Drive are available;

- checking sync logs and Google Drive to confirm important files are backed up;

- keeping additional backups for important data;

- complying with all applicable laws and third-party terms.

SyncSafe is a backup helper, but no backup app can guarantee complete protection from data loss.

3. Google Account and Third-Party Services

SyncSafe depends on third-party services, including Android, Google Drive, Google Sign-In, Google Play, and Google Play Billing. We are not responsible for outages, restrictions, account issues, policy changes, storage limits, permission changes, or failures caused by those third-party services.

Your use of Google services is also governed by Google’s terms and policies.

4. File Access and Data

SyncSafe accesses only folders and files you authorize through Android and Google Drive permission flows. SyncSafe uses this access to perform syncing, show sync status, and maintain local sync records.

SyncSafe does not operate its own servers for storing your files. Your files move between your device and your Google Drive account.

5. Paid Supporter Features

SyncSafe may offer a one-time in-app purchase called “SyncSafe Supporter.” Supporter features may include:

- syncing multiple folders;

- faster auto-sync intervals;

- detailed file information in sync logs;

- other supporter-only features we may add.

Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Your purchase, refund, and payment handling are subject to Google Play’s terms and policies.

If a purchase is refunded or the entitlement is removed by Google Play, SyncSafe may disable supporter features after the next successful entitlement check.

6. Refunds

Refund requests are handled through Google Play according to Google Play policies. We do not directly process payments or card details.

If Google Play reports that you no longer own the supporter product, SyncSafe may remove supporter access.

7. No Guarantee of Sync Completion

Sync may fail, stop, skip, or be delayed due to many reasons, including:

- network failures;

- Google Drive errors or quota limits;

- revoked permissions;

- Android background restrictions;

- battery saver or data saver settings;

- deleted, moved, renamed, or inaccessible files;

- app interruption, force stop, or device shutdown;

- insufficient local or cloud storage;

- bugs or unexpected system behavior.

You should regularly verify that important files are safely backed up.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SyncSafe to:

- violate laws or rights of others;

- upload or sync unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing content;

- interfere with the app, Google services, or other users;

- reverse engineer, modify, or misuse the app except where allowed by law.

9. App Updates and Changes

We may update, change, add, or remove features at any time. Some features may require a newer app version, Android version, Google Play services version, or Google account authorization.

10. Intellectual Property

SyncSafe, including its design, branding, code, text, and app materials, is owned by Leorbit or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of SyncSafe.

Your files remain yours.

11. Privacy

Your use of SyncSafe is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how SyncSafe handles permissions, local data, Google Drive access, and related information.

12. Disclaimer

SyncSafe is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free syncing.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leorbit will not be liable for lost files, lost data, corrupted data, failed backups, loss of profits, loss of business, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of SyncSafe.

Because backup reliability depends on your device, Google Drive, Android, network, permissions, and third-party services, you should maintain additional backups for important files.

14. Termination

You may stop using SyncSafe at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the app or features if necessary, including for security, legal, operational, or policy reasons.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we may notify users through the app, Play Store listing, or other reasonable means. Continued use of SyncSafe after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
